Hello

I've been having problems with the idling speed - around normal when cold and 1500 rpm when hot + high fuel consumption. - so... i researched the problem in my haynes manual and checked all the electric components and, according to the numbers in the manual, they seem fine.

I had the injection system cleaned (dirty fuel) and changed the injectors and their rubber guides. Still the same idling problem.

I started to 'play' with the mixture adjustments with not much success:
- idle ok when cold - high when hot;
- idle ok when hot - wont idle when cold; :(

I changed the hose between the idlespeed valve and 'under the fuel distributor' as it wasn't airtight.

I am out of ideeas....

I think that the idlespeed controll valve is not working properly or is not controlled properly. When i feed it 12v it engages.

Any ideas on how to test it while the engine is running...? What readings should i get...?

Please help...

Anybody... :)

Smart + others :)
Check your OVP relay and then both the throtle closed switch and the venturi switch (altho the latter normally makes the idle about 1100rpm)

Hi
Can you put up a picture of your car engine, a sort of a bird's eye view.
