Hello

Have been away for six weeks. Car wouldn't start. When it was jumped it ran for 10 minutes and then cut out and wouldn't start again. Repeated process today. Battery is being charged overnight.

It's possible someone pulled a wire etc.? while I was away. They left a sucker stick and wrapper on the engine block.... sigh.... Do you have any suggestions for what might be going on? Starter solenoid? I would appreciate any help at all....

Thank you,
Holland

Get your battery tested, also, if its not the sealed variety, make sure its not dried out.

And make sure you charge your battery somewhere warm, batteries don't like being charged in the cold weather, and below freezing they can actually explode :)

RE: 1989 300e

Hi.

Thanks for your quick response... Battery's okay. Had it charged... took 4 minutes. In the garage now...

Waiting for diagnosis... If the battery is basically at full charge and the engine cuts out after 10 minutes.. what else could it be? I asked them to check the voltage regulator, the alternator...
