1989 W124 230TE DOOR MIRROR - SHELL REPLACEMENT

Hi

An appeal for any tips and advice on driver door rear view mirror.

My mirror is knackered plus internal manual adjust mechanism is missing.

Have been offered very cheap complete replacement but shell is wrong colour (Hey I am not complaining!).

My question is - how do I remove shell and install to 'new' mirror assembly without damage? (Any pics would be a real bonus).

Very kind of you to pass on the ebay info - thank you.

I have already sourced replacement it was the technique of removing the body coloured shell assembly and transferring it to the new mirror assembly that I was after.

You un-clip the band around the edge of the mirror, and that reveals the clips that hold the outer casing in place, two minute job.
