Okay, if my car ran I'd probably drive it off a cliff. Driving along the road, car just stalls with no notice, then won't start for about 15 minutes then will run fine for a few days, then the same thing happens. Tried to replace the fuel pump relay, no go - didn't work. I heard that was the main problem. So now what? I don't know. Help!

manual

i think the yank mercedes had the fuel pump relay beside the fuse box, although im not sure.

Behind the battery there is a plastic cover that comes out. I think its the large black relay to the right......

good luck

Remove the fuelfiller cap and see ho it runs with a temporary one in there. If the vent in the cap is blocked you get a vacuum in the tank. This would do just as you describe.

Try it, it might be a cheap fix.

Check to see if it could be drawing air in somewhere.
Loose connection at the fuel filter or pump maybe?

This could cause your problem as well
