My seat belts are now somewhat slack and don't roll up well everytime, car being 16 yrs, old. I was wondering what would be the best way to repair them. By myself or by Mercedes. Has anyone tried this themselves?

Some parts for the seatbelts are available from MB that includes new winders.
There is nothing very special about these belts as they do not have pre tensioners . Ask MB if you can get new reels or springs.
