Anyone know of a good independent place to get servicing done. (Milton Keynes area)

Just bought a mint 300E as a second car to my Subaru Impreza (I also used to own a 2001 CLK 430!!

Also - if I want to get spares etc where's the best decent scrappy to buy bits from.

I love the 300E - a total pimpy car with red interior etc :D :D :D

Firstly - CONGRATULATIONS!
Very recently bought a very similar car to run a few miles on.
My MG hasn't been back in my hands since.., and I never realised I was pimp-oreintated!! I recommend a copy of Shaft at full blast for the first time you meet up with your mates!

-- Dependant on the mileage.., I would certainly encourage you to think about doing the smaller services yourself. The whole key to these cars is that they will save you a lot of money if you do stuff yourself, and a lot of the fluid changes are easy to do.

I (a quite a few people on here) get parts from www.eurocarparts.com
On the bad side.. Despatch is prompt, but it can take 4-5 days to take delivery.
On the good side.. The goods are cheap and there is a good choice.
For example, spark plugs for your motor are about £1.30 each on EuroCarParts. If you go to Halfrauds, you'll have to buy them in fours (no good for us!), and they'll set you back £10-20+ each pack.

Have fun.....

Ooh ooh I want one as well!! some time in the next couple of years I'm definately going to try and get one

H.A Lock in Rushden is ok. mr lock is highly eccentric and his yard looks like a scrappy but he knows his stuff

Scrappys Birmingham is best there are several good ones just look in the Auto trader

Euro car parts are very good I bought replacement headlamp units for my 300 td turbo 4 matic and they were about £60 and they were O.E s from bosch when they turned up, German and Swedish might be worth a try

Thanks folks..

Yes, I intend to do the minor servicing myself. Oil/plugs/filters etc look dead easy.

I lent the car to a mate (who's company car was in for work) - he wants to buy it now LOL - no chance..

regards
adam
