Hello,
My light switch functions and bulbs are ok but if I pull out for the fogs the switch just goes back in by itself, it will not stay pulled out, so turns off the fogs. Is there a fix, am I doing something wrong? Do I need a new switch? It used to work.

What position is the light switch in?
It needs to be side lights or headlights.

Garista how long have you had this car ? if it like mine you you pull it out fully and then turn to the right to hold it in place

Smart + others :)
Needs at least side lights on and pull knob out, once for fronts, twice for rear.

I put in a new switch but the old knob had to be glued on or when I pulled it to second position for the rear fog light it just came off instead. I used shoe glue. Works fine now.
The sequence is turn to right twice for headlamps, then pull once for front fogs, pull twice for rear fog and then the light in the knob comes on.
Had the car about a year now.

The old switch has yellow plastic bits coming out of it.

Was that the wires to the small bulb in the spindle ? picture tells a thousand words .
The bulb in the spindle just sits in the plastic tube of the new switch that the knob attaches to, swapped it over and it still works.

I think the plastic stuff coming out of the old switch is the surround which provides stops for the switch when it turns, it gets old and brittle apparently and can fall into the mechanism causing a lot of problems.
