Hi There

Can anyone tell me where I should be looking to fix my window problem, the auto down / up function(where you jab the window button and window will fully wind down or up) is no longer working.......which also means the total closure funtion is not working either. The sun roof is closing with the alarm but sadly not the window

I have checked all fuses, but unsure where the relay (if applicable will be) I thought of disconnecting the battery, and hoping this will reset the system?

it sounds like you need to recalibrate the windows, i had this problem on a recent car i owned (it was a rover but dont tell anybody) all that was needed was to lower each and every window and the sunroof all the way down and back up again, not sure how it will work on your model but im sure someone can steer you in the right direction.
this usually happens if the battery has been disconnected!

Didn't know there was auto-up on MBs, Andy.

Anyway to do a reset, they're are different proceedures for different MBs,
but below usually works for them all.

• Close window completely & hold button in that position for a few seconds.
• Open window completely & hold button in that position for a few seconds.
• Repeat first step.
• Repeat on all windows.

Not sure about a '92 S. My 95 C only had auto down. The 2000 E has both. You have to recalibrate them if the battery was dissed or flat. (as above )
