1993 220te

I am changing the seats and cards on my above 1993 220TE from cloth to leather - can you tell me how far back - or forward (year I can go back/forward to) to ensure any bought seats and cards can be easily installed
Are there any tricks to taking OFF door cards ?

i think you should be able to fit any interior from a w124.there fairly straight forward to do.to remove a door card you need a philips driver to remove the plastic trim round the lock mechanism,remove the plastic cover over the door pull release,there is then a 10mm bolt under neath a bit of foam holding the door handle on.then pull the door release handle as if to open it and thenslide the whole piece forward plastic backing and all it will move forward a couple of cm.then lift the metal rod out of the back of the door release handle .
the whole door card will then lift up once its clear of the door knob thats it.
hope this makes sense sometimes difficult to describe in words.
