I am in the course of installing a leather seat set in place of cloth seats.
On removing the cloth seats I disconnected a wired plug from under both of the front seats (each seat plug being from wiring within the seat) and each plug was connected to a wired plug emerging from the car floor . (I think they are airbag - the steering wheel has an airbag although the front passenger seat does not , as there is a glove compartment)
The leather seats do not have any wired plugs to connect and accordingly I will have to leave the in car plugs disconnected.
After fitting the passenger seat and then moving the car the SRS (airbag) light on the dash stayed on after starting the engine and driving, where normally it extinguishes after engine start
I have not yet fitted the leather driver's seat but I notice it too does not have a wired plug
Question - Can I leave these plugs unconnected ? - if so should I "join/jump" the wires in the plug to extinguish the light ?
Will the fitted airbag still function correctly without these connections ?
Any info and help would be appreciated

Is it the seatbelt circuit ?

If you buckle up the seatbelts will the SRS light go out ?

What age car are the seats from ?

Perhaps there is a connection within the seat but the wires have been removed ?

Hi, thanks for your reply - I did not buckle up to move the car, but will try that. Will examine more thoroughly to see if there is a connection within the new seats that is not wired. Originally I thought it may be heated seats but I have no dash control/switches for that so assume I had none.
I do not know the age of the donor car but can find that out on Tuesday

Following on - checked the seat belt buckle on my old seat & it had wiring to it - which after tortuous following culminated in the under seat plug - so transferred buckle unit and wiring etc., to "new" seats - refitted and all lights go on and out as should be
Many thanks David for your help - much appreciated
