1994 E300D - GLOW PLUGS

Is it within the scope of DIY to change the glow plugs on my car? There is a Haynes manual for my car but unfortunately it does not cover the diesel engine but only the petrol variants. Generally how long do glow plugs last? Thanks for your help in advance.

your car wont start if the glow plugs go bad i have a c220 d its done 130,000 miles and starts first time hot or cold cheers eds.....
