My e420 starts and runs great cold and after warmed up. Its smooth and accelerates well. The idle is steady at about 600-700 when warm.

The problem is that at low speeds such as when doing a slow U-turn the engine dies.

I put in new rotors, caps, fuel filter and plugs and only marginal improvement.

Dealer says its the idle control board but I'm not convinced since the idle is not erratic.

Could the idle just be too low? How do you adjust it upward? What else can it be?

my favorite bit is the coolant temp sensor - when this is out of spec slightly it can do all sorts of weird and wonderful things... only about 15 quid and easy to swap (you need a 22mm spanner)
