1994 S280 Rear side window problem + air/con recharge?

Hi, anybody help? my rear side window has just dissapeared to the bottom of the door, and fallen of the channel. My other rear side window just clicks. also my air/con needs a recharge. I live in Southampton any help with where to go would be great without being to expensive? I tried to remove the rear door panel but although all the door clips seemed to come off there seemed to be one centre fixing near the door handle that would not come free! Any technical people out there with info?

iirc theres a catch that needs flipping using a thin blade inserted behind a wooden panel...

air con is also common issue - just pray its not the condensor - cos you have to strip half the car to fix it.. [/url]

Rear window problem W140

Thanks for your help, I did not realise this was a common problem,
how easy is it to locate and release the centre fixing behind the wooden panel, I have already damaged slightly the right hand edge and do not want to do any more damage. the air/con is just not working what should I look at first?

air con - 1) Get it checked - use this:- http://www.continentalimports.com/ser_ic40142.html

2) Get it re filled - make sure there is lubricant added!! a compressor running with no lubricant will go bang... v expensive. get dye added as well so you can find any leaks.
