Hi. I am about to remove the door trim from both the offside rear and both front doors on my 1995 C 180. Are there any known pratfalls that I should avoid?
Get 3 or 4 spare nylon door pegs from dealer as some will break, see bottom left of photo, and a spoon and knife from your kitchen to pries out the card to release the pegs, don’t use excessive force.Front is much the same as back.
When you have done 1 to 5 lifte card upwards as white arrows and seperate the two horizontal lever rods.
Special tools can now be purchased for this job for £2 it is a flat blade with a V out of the center, with this tool you will never damage a door card or clip again
Would you happen to have a picture of that tool Malcolm or could you get one?
With regard to that picture I posted, it is part of a set of 6 or 7 I was doing regarding removal of a rear window regolator but never did finish it...yet. I thought it might be useful to cuparboy, I wonder what he is up to?
