Well, there aren't any because of the fold down rear head restraints.

Does anyone have any good ideas where they could be sited? Or is it just front stereo for this car?

I had thought of - without checking what's behind in either case - the same position on the door as the front ones assuming (despite the inherent dangers ;) ) that the window mechanisms would be similar or on the vertical "floor" on what would be just behind the rear passenger's calves.

Also, the hand book says not to use a mobile phone in the car but I am thinking that is just to sell MB aerials as the electronics don't seem that sophisticated - or is that just my ignorance? I am thinking of installing a stereo with Bluetooth hands free, will that stop the car from running or some such horror?:D

The key does not have a transponder in it, if that makes any difference.

The parcel shelf is very flimsy and, because it is raised to accommodate a first aid kit has a fairly large slope at the back to get it down below the window level. Still, some sort of housing should be possible - if there is room enough. For some reason that never occurred to me. Many thanks, television. :)

Mine has rear speakers as standard, either side of the first aid kit and set into the rear parcel shelf, so it is possible.I think if you look under the parcel shelf from the boot there will probably be cutouts already there.

There are cut outs but there are also head restraints which fold down and use up too much space on the parcel shelf to allow speakers to be mounted. It is looking like the rear doors are the only viable option.
