Hi everybody I am new to this site and would be grateful for any help.
My 420 S W140 Starts and drives ok but on short journeys of say 15-20 mins
when slowing behind traffic does not speed up smoothly and very soon the
engine dies and refuses to start. If not tried again for 1hour it restarts ok.

Thanks for the reply David

Found the visit back to September 2004 thread "300 SL misses after warm up"
most interesting I am leaning towards the OVR (over voltage protection relay)
could anybody please advise me of it's location (1995 S420 W140)
A NON MB Tech said to me there could be a fuel shut off valve that maybe sticking?

John T S420 W140 1995

I have changed the distributor caps and rotor arms up to now ok
fingers crossed.
I have been told there is no over voltage relay on this model.
