1995 W140 S600

Firstly let me say hello from a new member.
After fitting a new main battery to the 95 S600 as the old one was not holding a charge, the engine spins up nicely but does not start. I have been told that it could be the anti theft system needing to be reset, and that there is a sequence of doing this by holding the key fob near the rear view mirror followed by turning the ignition on but I am unsure of the full process.
If anyone could help with this I would be very grateful.

Hi,
Bit of an update to my issue of the motor not starting. There is a spark, but appears to be no pulse to the injectors, using a generic code scanner brought up no fault codes, ordered one of these fault code readers( https://www.srs-assist.com/Mercedes.html ) which when it arrives and I suss out how to use it will hopefully give me a clue to as what is going on. I will also be changing the fuel filter and checking the rear fuel pump whilst under the motor.
