Hi Everyone

I'm hoping somebody can help with this query. My partner's parents retired to Jamaica some years ago, taking with them the 1996 C Class diesel they'd bought new here. The car is in original condition and living in a garage in a dry climate, it is rust-free and has only 71,000 miles.

The query is one of the ignition keys no longer works. To deal with that, is it a simple matter of getting a new key cut using the spare key that does work - or will the car have to go into the MB dealer in Kingston to get a new key matched to the car?

Any advice or experience would be most welcome. Thank you

Best regards
