1996 C220 D need help

Hi to all new here.
The problem is after car left over night it can be driven for about 5 min and then its starts accelerate it self a bit an will cut off. I can start it again and it will rev up to about 3000rpm and will cut out. All that time the DTC light will come up. After copal times like that it will start normally and I can drive all day with no problems. I had fuel pump connected directly to fuel lines but it makes no deferens.

i dont know if your car has an OVP (over voltage protection relay)

but it's easy to spot, locate the ECU under the bonnet and beside it is a relay with a fuse on top of it, that's the OVP, if the OVP contacts are not clean then you can get unusual problems with the engine revving, so try removing it and cleaning the contacts, or replacing the OVP,
