Not sure where to ask this as I have three items I need to attend to at present :

1. Cabin air intake cover, this had a sheared bolt fitted (and glued in by somebody), I got the rest of the bolt out but will need a new one from somewhere.

2. Bonnet sound deadening material (foam-type stuff) to replace mine which is disintegrating steadily.

3. Passenger side map light lens (cover), mine has been glued at some point and won't stay clipped in now.

I imagine I can get items 1 and 3 from a main dealer at not too much cost (although I am prepared to be shocked o_O) but I am not sure I would be prepared enough too pay for the sound deadening material so am hoping there are suitable alternatives that others have used.

Hi,

I obtained my sound proofing from a site on the German fleabay. IMG_3433.png
I used Trim fix, one can to fit it. Spent more time cleaning the old stuff off.
I put the bonnet in the engineering upright position, attached the top, front of the sound proofing using the fixings provided then applied the trim fix. I used a small decorators roller to press it onto the bonnet.
