1997 SLK Creaks

Do older SLKs creak a bit in the heat? Ie the dash and the steering wheel mounting and the roof when its up.

Stupid question i know but I have a 1995 audi cab and it doesnt but my new(to me Merc) does.

Do you know anything about the boot lids? ie should they be sprayed underneath as well as the top? Mine is matt black underneath and red like the rest of the car on top.

mine is sort of graphite/charcoal gray

rather than black. I beleive all 107s were done this way. 129s as well by the looks of it.
