All of a sudden (according to the wife) all the dash lights went off.
This includes the Heater plug indicator(strange??)
All other electrics seem to be working ie. headlights, radio , fans etc.
I know one of the dash illumination lights was not working on the left hand side so i assumed the other one has gone now but would this extinguish other warning lights?

Any advice please.

Many thanks

Hi

You will have to be more specific.

Are you talking dash illumination (ie when running or headlights are on) this includes illumination for the instruments plus the vent louvre thumbwheels, blower speed control switch, vent direction control and temp select dials?

These are fused and the potentiometer (odo reset) controls brightness.

So if this is what you are talking about first (wait till dark) turn the sidelights on and rotate the potentiometer back and forth and observe said lighting. If it is still ALL[ /u]off - then the fuse has gone. It is not easy to get to.
You will have to withdraw the instrument cluster, the fuse is coloured red and looks like a top hat. (Dealer supply item - not expensive.)

This has been discussed before and a search should reveal all. Try dash lighting and pull instrument cluster.

Let us know how you get on.
