Hi all ive been told loads about fuel pump timing can anyone help please this van is costing me a fortune

I knoe pump needs to be at 11 o'clock but not sure on engine, ive been told 12 degrees before and after which one please

It needs to be set with a spill pipe, what is the issue your are having?

Ive set pump to eleven and 12 degrees after ot, its firing but not starting and have fuel to injectors

Diagnostics bloke plugged it in when it wouldnt start and he said it was injection pump so removed it and got it tested it was knackerd so i had it refurbed and put it back together 12 degrees after OT and pump at 11oclock and still wont run

The night before it packed up it was Best its ever drove then next morning wouldnt start

Pump is set correctly as per your picture. It has the connecting sleeve right?

Engine should be set to 12 degrees Before TDC on the compression stroke of no1 cylinder.

Insert injection pump into engine and turn the pump as far as the pressure point (until it gets slightly harder) Then insert and tighten.

Remove the connection fitting on fuel return line and fill with 200ml of clean diesel, then reattach.

Undo cylinder number 1 fuel line and crank until fuel comes out, then tighten and start.

Previous work done 2 days before was new starter snd alternater but problem was isolator

Could one injector cause not to start r would it have to be all of them

Am i right in saying before tdc is to the right of tdc because engine cranks clockwise

Ive done this pal, quick question if my crankshaft sensor as gone tits up and my ecu was plugged in wouls this cause a issue because ecu isnt giving pump right information cheers
