1998 A Class stalling when warmed up

Read a number of posts about stalling but my wifes car stalls after about 20 mins driving as it slows down. It starts straight away but it is obviously worrying. My mechanic did a diagnostic check and says it is the speed sensor but all the other posts on here mention the crankshaft sensor.
If it is the speed sensor where is it located? or is this the same as the ones connected to the wheels/abs.
The car is the clutchless variety.

Hello,

Has your car done alot of miles? I would suggest checking the throttle body for build up of oil etc around the butterfly. Have a look and let us know!!!
