1998 c180 air con

please can anybody help me.
my wife has just got a 1998 c180 with air con but there is no switch
to turn on the air con,
so could someone shed any light on this for me

Not 100% sure, but...I think that it is permanently on

the aircon is controlled by the temperature controls. if you roll the temperature controls down till it is showing blue the air should be really cold.

C180 aircon

Dave, there are 2 roller controls and the left is for passenger temp and the right for driver temp. The other 2 controls are round knobs, the left is to turn on the fan at 1 and 2 and above that the aircon gets turned on(check if I am wrong as I am in the house now). The right one is to set the airflow direction. Cheers.

Dave there is a button to actually switch off the aircon while allowing the fan to keep blowing at the same force and this is the centre controls with the E on the button. Basically means economy fan only operation so the compressor is off and less energy used to run the engine.
