I use my S600 infrequently. I charged up the battery and then took it for a drive, everything went well until I left the car for a couple of hours and then tried to start it again, while the engine caught, it immediately cut out with the message 'Start Error' I tried both of my keys and neither worked. I find the remotes have also stopped working for locking/unlocking the car. Any thoughts welcome.

Seen this on the early ML, from memory it was the DAS control unit, thats the control unit which agrees that the transponder signal is correct from the key, if it dont see the correct signals its locks the system down!

I dont think (again from memory) Malc that i have ever got one to start without a new control module! Growmore has got nothing to lose by trying though!
