1998 W140 Parktronic Problems. Please Help.

Hello. I would like to ask for your help about parktronick system fault in my Merc. Thanks in advance for any information regarding this issue . Advice , links , e.t.c.

PTS hasn’t been working since I bough the car . When I done PC diagnostic it showed fault with defective middle left sensor in front bumper. I replaced it with new one and still no luck same fault. How to find out which sensor it is . Is it on your left when you are inside the car or when you look at the car front bumper on outside???

When you switch parking switch inside car It make Beep sound and stays red. Maybe its a cable or something else I have already removed front bumper. How to trouble shoot. Any Help please

Why not unplug them one by one till you find the faulty one

I am already tried to swap front middle left and right sensors but diagnostic still says cable or sensor error So maybe it is a cable. Or maybe its possible to cut one sensor from the circuit. I will attach photos. And if its cable what to do then. Is it worth to try replace a cable?

If you had just a cheap multi meter(£5) you could measure the resistance of each and that would show up a faulty cable

They will all measure the same,when good, the odd one out shouls show a different reading
