Hi Everyone,

My wife has a C180 and the centre vent only blows cold air. Is that right or should it blow warm/hot as the side vents do? (The rest of the heating works ok.)

I've taken the front panal off and checked out the flexible extensions to the heater direction switch and I can only get cold air out of the centre vent.

Any help would be gratefully received.

Thanks

Frub

Welcome to the forum, relax there is nothing wrong with your heating system as the centre vents are only supposed to pass cold air.

C180 Heating Controls

Hi C220GJS,

Thanks very much for that - I sort of thought that would be the case but the missus was adamant that it used to blow hot!

Cheers

Hi,
Hot air out of the centre vents when you have Climate control on Auto.
If the vehicle has only a heater and no air con there is no hot air only air at the same temperature as outside.
You may get hot air from the centre vents if you have A/C (not climate).

My C180 1998 blows hot air when required (which is most of the time at the moment!). Or maybe I have a fault......
