1999 clk 230 kompressor

Hi,
Can anyone help both the door speakers on the drivers door are bust - also can anyone help with the removal of the dorr card ? managed to get all the screws out near the door jam and the one hidden behind the handle but now stuck any ideas?

Thanks had a look at that but still couldnt free it off in and around the door release lever?Any ideas?

Do you need the door cards off? I thought the speakers will come off without that, there is a screw below the speaker if I remember rightly. Get at it from the bottom.

Door cards if they're the same as the fronts in my saloon: remove panel (2 screws - 1 near door catch, 1 behind plastic trim around inner door handle which just levers out - carefully!). Unpop poppers using broad screwdriver (use cardboard to protect paint). Unhook door handle rod by spreading clip gripper and pushing rod end down. Pull polythene sheet away carefully so you can stick it back when you've done.

Thanks for all that info will give it a try later re the speaker on my model is there a seperate amplifier in each door? Having used a small dry cell battery and flashed it across each speaker wir instead of the normal crackle i got nothing ? Thats why i think they are bust? anyone help.
