Afternoon, hoping for some help with the passenger rear window in the convertible.

Had taken it to the local specialist who informed us it was the Window Regulator which needs to be replaced. This would be a second hand bit and total of £400......of course there is no guarantee that this will work and it could be something else.

So, after a small amount of swearing we finally got access to the motor and tried to "hot wire" it to see if it worked.... It doesn't so looking good to replace that.... However, there is no power coming down the feed to the motor when the switch is operated.

My options now seem to be. rip out central panel to see if the switch has died, and or ask someone in the know if there is a separate clever box somewhere which monitoring everything and getting it's knickers in a twist cause it "knows" there's an issue with the motor.

Any help would be appreciated.

You need to look up the wiring diagram, but the motor will almost certainly be fed from a relay on the fuse box rather than through the switch.

It should be easy to test the switch with a meter. Panel just pulls up.
