Hi, 3 button keyless ignition fobs not operating doors, or allowing the ignition unit to turn. Have two keys, but only 1 was working,but before I could get the faulty one replaced the other one has stopped working.It was starting to play up recently,ie, remote locking/unlocking not working every time, and when placed into ignition it would not turn. When tried a few times it sometimes worked. It has now stopped working altogether.I have replaced the fob batteries, checked fuses, dissconnected / re-connected the car battery,tried another car battery,all to no avail. checked fob with a digital camera, and am getting the white flash from all 3 buttons, BUT,the red light on the fob above the buttons does not flash when buttons are pressed.Have been informed by a local auto electrician that it has to go to a Merc main dealer,as it could be the ICU / immobiliser. As it is I cant move the car off my drive !!Anybody out there had this problem? NEED YOUR HELP! I have a spare fob from another e220, can it be re-programmed to my merc?
