Hi all,

Bought a 2003 w211 e270cdi last Feb and have had awesome driving experiences...until it started cutting out if the engine temp climbs past 80 degrees C.
It also kicks out an engine fault light if revs go over 3500...the dealer wants a pot of gold to supply sensors with no guarantee of sorting out the issues.

Any ideas from the forum?

Welcome. Not sure what 'sensors' the dealer wants to install, but first action should be to find a Mercedes Local Independent servicing centre to correctly diagnose the issue. WE can help point you to someone if you can let us know your location.
Of course we can all take a punt on the issue, might be CPS or similar, fuel starvation?

Hi all, I am in Alberton, Gauteng, South Africa.
The Bosch center ran a diagnostic and the system indicated faults on the fuel pressure supply and the MAF sensor.
I have been told that the battery in this vehicle is for the petrol engine models and is slightly under power in it's cranking amps.
I have also been told to check the fuel pump relay, faulty wiring and a leak on the vacuum before I start in replacing sensors.
I am just hoping that a fellow forum member has been down a similar fault route and can give me some pointers before I delve into my bank balance

forget a Bosch centre go to a mercedes place.

might be more expensive but more likely to pinpoint the issue. Pay once pay right.

Welcome. Make sure you find someone with the Mercedes Star system as that is the only one you can really rely on to give you proper diagnostics.
