I have recently purchase a 200 CDi Auto Avantguarde Estate 19,000 Miles.
This is my first Merc so I have no previous experience to compare it with.
When starting away from rest it's not always smooth, it will creep for a moment then noticeably kick into drive. It doesn't always do it but I would like to know if its a problem or me just worrying about nothing.
If anyone can put my mind at rest, I would be grateful.
Regards,
Mike.

Hello and welcome,
It sounds like a problem to me, drive should allways be very smooth take up and never a jolt, something is wrong and needs to be looked at.

Have you noticed any fliud loss on the drive, take a quick look underneath and see if you can see any signs of a leak, if not the a diagnostic check is in order

Your Mercedes
2002 SL500, 216 CL500, all fully loaded
As Ellsy Tanners above, your car has done no miles at all

Is it a 202 or 203

Thanks for help/advice on jumpy start. The year is 2005 so still under guarantee, I will return it to Mercedes for them to look at.
Thanks again,
Regards.
Mike.
