200 slk kompressor problem

Hi all, please can anyone give us a little advice?
We have recently repaired an accident damaged SLK, (near-side front damage) it now looks beautiful, however we have a small problem that we can not solve. The diagnositc code reader shows 'under voltage on line 87.'
What is line 87? Is it a gearbox/electrical plug problem? because on some occasions the gear box will not change gear. There is no odvious pattern, and can be rectified by stopping and re-starting the engine.The engine
management light remains lit.

You have a hard one , the code depends on the code reader that read it,all refferences to codes that I have are 4 figures, don't forget that gear box faults are cleared on key start. gearbox faults do not put the engine light on normally.
The ECU's are linked, if there is insuficiant power from the engine it will not change gear, this is done to protect everything.
