Greetings Benz owners
I recently purchased a 2000 SL500 that had been sitting in my friends driveway for over a year. I never owned a Mercedes or a convertible so I figured it would be fun. I purchased a new battery and installed it in the trunk. I noticed the driver side window went halfway down so it had power. I got in the car and turned the key to the accessory position and everything electrical worked. I then turned the key to the start position to see if the car would crank and POOF!?!?! NO POWER to anything. I have checked the fuse boxes in front and the trunk. All good. Is there a fusible link hiding somewhere? Does anyone know a good spot to download a mechanics manual? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks bunches

These cars have very odd behaviour when the battery/ies are in an under voltage state.
The best thing you can do is to get a trickle charger on the car for a few days, get the battery to 14V and then see what happens.

If possible put up a picture of the wires to the starter motor.
