Hola,

The window will not lower, I hear a slight jolt indicating that it is getting some form of signal to request an open but thats all.

When opening or closing the roof still no movement !

Any ideas what the common problem is with this, cost for part(s) ?

Possibly a failed window regulator - take the door card off and take a look

Depends upon your level of skill, a bit fiddly getting the door card off and the regulator can also be a pain - don't know if the R170's are bolted or riveted in - probably worth doing a YouTube video search as someones probably done it and filmed it.

I could be the window motor, I'm guessing the roof has stopped retracting?
surprised not the drivers side as that door gets used more. Not sure re the functionality of the roof of a SLK.
be aware that due to age Mercedes uk may not stock parts. I needed a drivers side quarter window motor which had expired.
my indie got it from Stuttgart.

just noticed your roof still works from your post.
