Could anyone tell me if a 2001 C220 diesel conforms to Euro 4 exhaust emissions? I am wanting to export the vehicle to New Zealand soon and it will have to conform to this standard.
Many thanks.
is that what NZ say or just pub talk??I would have thought that merc would have sold cars to the country maybe they fitted a diffrent catalyst to the NZ cars
That is NZ official. I checked their website and spoken to them. The rules changed in January this year. For my 2001 C220 being 'used' it would have to conform to Euro 4 standard. The car has only done 30,000 miles so would anyone know how to get this particular vehicle up form Euro 3 to Euro 4? Is it a matter of updating the catalyst or tweeking the engine somehow? Do MoT testing stations have to knowledge to test to these standards? It is all very complicated but the NZ authorities are getting fussy now surprising as the roads here are empty most of the time.
