2001 CLK knocking noise right hand side

hi guys my newly acquired 320CLK has a knocking noise coming from the right hand front when hard accelerating.

if i turn slightly left whilst accelerating the noise gets worse, if i slightly turn right it disappears

under normal acceleration there is no noise. i appreciate its going to have to be up on a ramp to inspect, just asking to see if anyone on here has had a similar experience

Check yr ball joints track rod ends, top strut mountings and toll bar fixtures and mountings.I also have the clk320 01.

Aye I think it's ballpoint or steering arm related. It's up on the ramps next week getting the transmission and diff fluids changed. I'll have a look then
