2001 CLK230 Elegaance cockpit light replacement Help Please

One of the bulbs has gone behind the left side heater switch on my 2001 CLK230. I would like to be able to replace the bulb but not sure if it can be done by just removing the dial and accessing the tiny bulb from there or if the wood finish pannel itself needs to be removed? Either way, please can someone give me some advice on removal of the later or replacement of the former. I dont want to risk damaging the facia if it doesnt just clip out but cant see and screws holding it in place.

A munual on this kind of stuff would be useful! But Haynes don't do one & I dont know if anyone else does?
