Hi all. I have to disconnect the battery to change upper control arm/ball joint. No electronic transponder fob I have a metallic master key only.
Last time I disconnected the battery I had to use the fob to reprogram the ignition and power windows. No fob now.
Can I disconnect/reconnect the battery and reprogram with the metallic key?
The owner's manual has some instructions on that. But there is no clear statement that a transponder key fob is not necessary. Your opinions please. Thank you.

No need to disconnect the battery when working on suspension components.
