2001 R129 User Manual in pdf format required

Hi all

I am looking for a pdf version of the SL Owner's Manual for my 2001 R129

I have searched the web and forums and can find many examples of the Owner's Manual for 1998 - 2002 models - but can't find the same version as the hard-copy version that came with my car

All the ones I have found on-line have a picture of the SL on the front - in red - showing it with the soft top.

My hard copy version that I am looking for in electronic format has similar picture of red SL on the front - but more square on.

I think one of the other differences is that the one I am looking for has digital climate control with display - but the majority of others I have seen show earlier version of climate control.

I know I'm being pedantic - sorry - any help or direction greatly appreciated

I am sure that from 08-98 all 129 cars had the fully automatic climate controls, there is no difference in the cars in the way that they operate, just differences in the external trim finishes. If both types of climate controls had been used, then the handbooks would have both in them as well.

Just keep checking Ebay and the right one may come up

The manual that came with mine (1998 facelift model) has 6515 3018 02 and 129 584 03 81 edition B has the automatic climate control with the digital climate control with display. The "manual" for mine consists of around six individual booklets rather than one. the number is for the interior part.

My hardcopy manual that came with the car has all the right details - I'm just looking for the exact same version in electronic/pdf format

ps You probably have the European version rather than the much more "internet available" USA version. Although very similar to European models differences did exist especially wrt AIR CON SYSTEMS and ALARMS.

I know its old but if it helps.
If you go to mbusa.com then select owners and then manuals and you should be able to download the manual for any Mb back to my2000!
Why we cant in EU is beyond me!
