2001 S320 Petrol - where is the fuel filter?

this is a really embarrasing question but:

I want to change the fuel filter on my S class, bought the filter but cant spot where it is. in my defense it was pouring with rain yesterday in Manchester so I lost the will to live fairly quickly.

Any help would be gratefully received.

just in front of the n,s rear wheel, your have to remove a part of the undertray cover to find it,
