Can anyone help me with a query about the telephone pre-wiring in the 2002 S class?
The problem:My car was originally ordered for Jamaica which uses GSM 1900 MHz. I ended up buying the car and bringing it to Trinidad which uses GSM 1800 Mhz (like the UK). The car was ordered with Option Code 852 (telephone pre-wiring). The car is in Trinidad.
The question: Is the telephone pre-wiring specific to a particular GSM fequency? Will a Nokia 6310i (tri-band) integrate into the telephone system in the car on the 1800 Mhz GSM(Trinidad GSM)? If not what parts of the system will I have to change?

ps the options book says that 6310i will work (so just really want to know if pre-wring is specific to the GSM frequency)
