2003 350Sl.....have just replaced the oil cooler....since then gearbox is all over the place

Hi all...2003 350Sl.....have just replaced the oil cooler....since then gearbox is all over the place...ie wont wont change clunky at going in gear..jumps into neutral....and also i have the red warning..visit workshop and break warning....do u think the gearbox could be related to this..as i have battery light on also...has the gearbox its own ECU..? Is the signal not getting there..? Love the car but it is an expensive past time...all help appreciated thank you
