2003 c class radio problem.

My c class 240 has a radio problem. It loses the audio but the radio seems to work ok. The speakers will start working again when I open the drivers side door, and stop working when the door shuts again???? Some times it works just fine. Anyone have any ideas? thanks

The speaker wires are shorting to earth, this cuts the sound. Try removeing the little triangle in the top left corner of the drivers door which has the tweater speaker in it, that can short out on the door frame. if not then its a wiring break possibly in the door connector rubber.
