2003 C200K - where is the oil filter ?

Having always done my own servicing so I am a bit embarrassed about this.

I bought a new oil & air filter from Euro parts. The air filter is obviously the wrong part but at least I could find it to check. I have no idea where the oil filter is ! Any advice welcome.

There doesn't seem to be an obvious drain plug either - only a small plug at the side - so am starting to wonder if I am going mad !

Many thanks, I worked it out with the help of your diagram. I now know that Euro-Car-Parts have sent the wrong oil filter too !

Do take care with oil filters, I understand that the internal construction of the MB filters is very different to the after market versions.

I take oil very seriously
