2003 C220 Mirror Adjustment Switch

I have just noticed that the switch that toggles between the passenger and driver front electric folding mirrors does not work. For some reason the four way adjustment only controls the drivers side. Even when switched to the passenger side the drivers side still moves.

Any ideas?

Other than that still happy after 110,000 miles. Extras added - Command retro fitted, bulbs changed in headlamps and front foglamps.

Properly just the switch knackered but might be worth taking it out and cleaning with electrical contact cleaner.

As ellsy above the switch is not toggling and stuck on the drivers side-- Non drying switch cleaner from Maplins

Thank you for the offer. I will see if the old unit needs contact cleaning or has failed.

I tried to get the switch unit out over the weekend by gaining access via drivers fuse box adjacent the drivers door. The light/mirror switch is released by what looks like one silver clip. The unit dropped clear of the top, but remained held at the base. Is it just tight or will an amount of force be required? Does anyone know if its a multi way switch for folding/mirror adjustment and lights?
