2004 mercedes clk 270cdi not starting

Hi,
My car was left for a few montgs parked up so i started her up to run it for a while, but forgot about it and it ran out of fuel, i put fuel in it and tried starting it, but all i get is lights on the dash and i cannot here the pump priming the system, i cant even crank it over, the fuse is ok.
Any help would b3 appreciated

Turn the ign on and off a few times , wait 20 seconds in-between tries. Battery will need changing or charging if it's been stood months.

Battery is fine as new one installed, still can't hear fuel pump priming and won't crank over

The mechanical gear driven pump is well known for leaking air when it gets older. I had same. There is an O ring kit for them in GB I believe. Check it out with an Indi for details.

So . When you turn the key , nothing happens ?

No cranking , nothing???

Obviously nothing to do with fuel if no crank. Ign switch or starter maybe.

Its OM612, so aux pump on front of the engine, and old OM612 had NO primer pump in tank, but did they fit one for latest models? At least W203 OM61X series engines had primer in latest MY.

OP said engine won't even turn over with starter so not related to fuel.
