I have a 13 pin plug with CTEK plug on one end that I use to charge my Volvo XC60. The problem on the Volvo is that it doesn't have designated charge / jump points so it's a nightmare having to take covers off to access positive terminal and then find suitable earth. Also really convenient as I can back up close to garage.

Has anyone tried charging an MB battery this way? With the W203 it's impossible to shut bonnet with charger connected and again it would be really convenient to back up to garage. I have the old double electrics on the W203 as we tow a caravan so would have to use 7 pin plug or adaptor.

I've never done it but have heard of others (no idea of flavour of car) do it with their tow car. I can't see why it wouldn't work though
