2006 clk 220 gear selector module intermittent

Hi ive got a 2006 clk 220 5speed auto, had new battery and a gearbox service new plug and oil change, but still getting limp mode and no gear selector display on dashboard, after a while seems when engine is hot it will randomally start to work change gear as it should and show the display on the dashboard any help would be appreciated

Hi I’ve got a 2006 clk 220 5speed auto, gearbox in limp mode, seems to be intermittent thou as after it’s been running for a while and engine is hot sometimes it will randomly come out of limp mode, the gear selection will return to the dashboard and it will change gear as it should! ive had a new battery and a gearbox service new oil and new plug etc but still same symptoms the garage told me it’s the selector module that’s faulty, but it will work as it should sometimes any Advice on how to tackle this problem would be appreciated
